Statue drawing update 2

I had a hard time choosing a color for the cape and I'm really bad with colors. There's something I really don't like about colored pencils. There are certain parts of the drawing a want to highlight or lighten now, but I don't know how. Even if I use a white colored pencil, it just makes that area darker instead of lighter.

Statue drawing

This is a drawing I'm working on for Drawing 3 class. I originally had this idea of a scene at the top of some clouds. Two statues of a man and a woman at each end of the picture, facing each other at about a 45 degree angle. The statues are old and parts are crumbling away to reveal their bones beneath the stone. I wanted to draw this on the closet doors in my room. There was more to it and I remember the scene in my head being so epic.

Left 4 Dead shirt

I'm designing a Left 4 Dead shirt. Right now in my head I see the shirt being yellow. But I'm also having visions of red and black. So far I only have what the picture will be, so now I need some text. Here's what I got so far.

Saturday Georgetown

I don't know why I feel it's necessary to go to Georgetown to get some reading done. Maybe my computer is too distracting, so I need to get out of the house. I didn't stay too long on this one because I've eaten and slept so little.

I had this idea recently to build a static camera scene in Flash that would depict a bench like at a bus stop or a park with a green glowing lamp. The time would be night, the music would be eerie and the ground would include a blanket of fog. Last night I started building a lamp in Illustrator, but haven't gotten very far.

So. Today in Georgetown I focused my camera on lamps for ideas and inspiration.

Axe Instinct! Sex! Leather!

I was just watching a Defying Gravity episode on Hulu and there was a commercial for Axe Instinct and I really liked it. Its the music that grabbed me and the video supported that sense. The video is the shape of a woman moving in leather. But what was really cool is it starts with what looks like tentacles moving in the leather, then the shape of a woman starting at her feet. Please click on the link & explore the info.
