My interest of O Street

Walking up Wisconsin Ave I came to O Street, which really caught my attention. To me, it looked like it had once been a brick street, then paved with asphalt, then a lot of the asphalt had crumbled away leaving a mixture of the two. In the middle of the street were metal tracks for a rail car. I really enjoyed this, so I decided to venture down O Street following the tracks.

The driver cautionary sign for O Street.

Part of my O Street adventure:

This is where the tracks seem to end. Looks like they're turning left onto that street, but there's no evidence of them on that street.

At the corner of O & 34th Street, some gas lamps (i think they're gas) caught my attention, so I took pictures of them.

Buildings, allyways, architecture, etc...

Whoops, finger got in the way of this one.

I have a suspicion that someone has gone around Georgetown perching several owl figures. This is the only one I took a picture of, but I'm sure there was another one in a tree on M Street and I think I saw another somewhere else.

The shirt.

I wore a plain white T-shirt into Georgetown, but did not leave with it. While drinking my ice coffee and reading at Dean & Deluca, I clumsily spilled my drink on my shirt.

All of a sudden, it felt like everyone was staring at the big brown stain right smack in the middle of my shirt. So unfortunately, I had to go shopping for a new shirt. Dun dun duuuun! I really hate shopping, especially if its for a shirt. But I did have a particular shirt in mind before I even found it. The closest one I came across to this shirt I had in mind was in Urban Outfitters. It cost me $50. I am so terrible at shopping. What's worse is that I'm sure I could have found a shirt of close resemblance in a thrift store.

Oh well. At least I like the shirt.

Underneath the bridge

There were a few bridges a walked underneath & I took some shots of them.

Out of the 134 pictures I took today, I think this was my best one. The lamp really makes it.

Water Street

Mission: Explore Water Street.
Results:

I swear to you there was a demon with glowing eyes staring back at me when I looked in here. It also may have just been some animal.

This is where Water Street ends and just becomes a park trail.

By the river

The first thing I did (because its right where I parked) was walk along the river.

There was some rusted metal rod coming out the side of the wall. Attached to it is a metal ring. Wonder what it was used for.

There's a small park right along the water line.

There was a maze in the park.

I made it to the middle! Although, I cheated to get there by just walking over the lines...
